One of the real merits of the Moldova Security Forum is that it brings the tough subjects to the agenda — the ones that are easy to overlook, but impossible to ignore.
Disinformation is one of them.
Disinformation doesn’t succeed only because the stories are brilliant. It often succeeds because the ground is ready.
I’m grateful to moderate a session co-organised by Aspen Institute Romania on November 19th dedicated to one of the most urgent themes of our time: how strategic communication can reinforce national resilience against foreign information manipulation.
I’ll be joined by a remarkable group of practitioners: Ana Revenco, Janis Karlsbergs, Jeremy A., Rainer Saks, Kristina Rud (Havryliuk), Natan Garstea 🙏 🙏
Our aim is not to revisit clichés, but to look deeper: at the trust that fractures,
the institutional silences where manipulation grows, and the algorithmic dynamics that shape public life faster than governance ever can.
I hope to turn this session into a real conversation — less about “talking points,” more about “what actually happens and what we can fix.”
