The first Romanian participations in the meetings organized under the Cypriot Presidency of the European Union made the first week a rather intense one — but also highly productive.
Senator Adelina Dobre and MP Ovidiu Câmpan, representing the Committees on European Integration of the Romanian Parliament, together with Izabella Moldovan, the Senate’s representative to the European Parliament, took part in the COSAC meeting (Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs).
The following day, Director General Aniela Crețu participated in Paphos in the meeting of Directors General for European Affairs of the EU Member States, also holding a bilateral meeting with the Cypriot side.
Today and tomorrow, the interparliamentary conference “The Age of Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities” is taking place, focusing on the impact of AI on public policies, the economy, security, and European society.
Romania is represented by a strong parliamentary delegation, including Senators Vasile Ciprian Rus, Daniela Ștefănescu, and Ana Cyntia Ioana Păun, as well as MP Ovidiu Romulus Paraschivescu.
It was a pleasure to welcome all participants at the Embassy of Romania in Nicosia and to engage in a meaningful exchange of views on the current challenges and the future of Europe.
