Happy to share that our new study on AI adoption in academia, published in Heliyon, is finally out.

Building on research focused on Romanian communication students, we arrive at a broader conclusion: successful AI adoption in academia requires the confidence, practical experience, and critical judgment to work with AI – and, ultimately, to use it to expand the horizons of knowledge.

Going a little beyond the scope of this particular study, I would add that AI confidence, speed of adoption, and talent density are becoming essential ingredients in the technology race, with AI increasingly at its core.

The challenge is therefore to develop the capabilities – individual, institutional and societal – that allow us to make the most of it.
