I am excited to announce that yesterday, Asociatia Castel Salbek launched the “4th edition of the Salbek Opera Masterclass”at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London, a significant event for artists and opera enthusiasts alike. This program is designed to nurture the next generation of opera talent, providing participants with firsthand experience from distinguished instructors and industry professionals. The program was launched with the concert of two Salbek students Rodica Stefan and Andrei Petre and the pianist Ioana Maxim, who has enchanted the audience.

This year’s masterclass will focus on advanced vocal techniques, stage presence, and interpretation, ensuring participants receive a comprehensive training experience. Renowned opera experts will mentor the students, fostering a creative environment for growth and exploration.
We also celebrated the launch of the English translation of “Sub cerul uneori dechis” by Alexandru Potcoava, the Salbek Tales, a poignant work that explores themes of identity and resilience.

I am proud to be part of this initiative that not only promotes Romanian culture but also empowers artists to reach their full potential. A heartfelt thank you to Raluca Cimpoiasu and the wonderful audience attending the event, last but not least Oltea Parau, Ovidiu Miculescu and Theodor Mihaescu.
