I am deeply honoured to share that I have been elected Chairman of CIGRE NGN for the 2026–2028 term, following the international NGN election process.

Being entrusted with this role by the CIGRE Next Generation Network community across more than 40 countries is both a tremendous honour and a great responsibility. With thousands of young professionals across the world, NGN is a truly global community with enormous potential to shape the future of our industry. ⚡️

Over the next two years, together with Logan Rolles, PE from the CIGRE United States National Committee, our Vice-Chair, and the entire NGN community, I want to build on the great work achieved so far and further strengthen NGN as a platform where young energy professionals can connect, learn, contribute and lead.

I strongly believe that the future of our industry depends not only on the technologies we develop, but also on the people who will shape them. NGN has a unique role in connecting the next generation with the knowledge, experience and global community of CIGRE. 🌍

I am also very proud to take on this responsibility as a professional from Romania, and I hope this will contribute, in its own way, to increasing the visibility of Romania and its energy community internationally.

A huge thank you to Conor Mulholland CEng and Aditie Garg for their leadership over the past two years and for the strong foundation they are handing over to us. I am truly grateful for their trust, support and encouragement.
