Fantastic evening yesterday. ANSA presented PHOTOANSA2025 (a collection of the agency’s best press photography of 2025) during an event hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute of Brussels.

It was an emotional remembrance of the vital role played by news agencies as main keepers of national and world history. Will share the presentation video as soon as I have it, it’s definitely worth watching.

The on-stage interviews with Antonio Costa, the President of the European Council, with Raffaele Fitto, Executive VP of the European Commission, and with Meinie Nicolai, the Executive Director of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) were both insightful and also served as confirmation of the importance ANSA and news agencies in general have for disseminating trustworthy information.

Great to meet old friends & colleagues Diletta Sarzi Amadè, Rodolfo Cardarelli, Aida Birno & Ilija Musa. Looking forward to the next one, probably the EANA – The European Alliance of News Agencies conference on disinformation in Brussels.
