Rufin Zamfir at #MSF2026

Here’s me the last Friday at #MSF2026, representing IMS (International Media Support) in a panel about media, trust and our remarkable ability to make perfectly useful information incomprehensible.

My two cents: knowing what you want to say is half the job. Knowing who you’re talking to is the other half, the one we tend to skip because we’ve already made the PowerPoint.

And yes, tell the truth. But tell it in language people actually understand. If your explanation needs three acronyms, a policy glossary and someone with a master’s degree to translate it, don’t blame the audience for not getting it.

Thank you Institutul pentru Politici și Reforme Europene for the invitation, and thank you Brigitta Triebel of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in #Moldova for moderating,

Liliana Vitu, Natalia Voutova, Michal Krawzcyk and

Sergejus Muravjovas for the great exchange.

P.S. This is my “know your audience” face. Somewhere between explaining democratic resilience and asking who the fuck parked in front of my garage.
